The methods listed below are accredited by the Hellenic Accreditation System S.A. according to ELOT EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005, receiving the accreditation certificate number 669:
• Sampling of PM10 based on the U.S. EPA PM-10 Reference Designation RFPS-1298-126 method. The method refers to the 24-hour filter based collection of the fraction of atmospheric particles, with aerodynamic diameter lower or equal to 10 μm. The provided service is applicable for sampling of PM10 in ambient air.
• Gravimetric determination of PM10, based on the U.S. EPA PM-10 Reference Designation RFPS-1298-126 method. The method refers to the mass concentration determination of the fraction of atmospheric particles with aerodynamic diameter lower or equal to 10 μm, based on 24-hour collection on filters. The provided service is utilised for the calculation of the PM10 mass concentration in ambient air and the estimation of the measurement uncertainty.
Non accredited services
A.C.L./N.O.A. additionally provides the following services:
• Sampling and gravimetric determination of the atmospheric particles mass concentration for the PM2.5, PM10 and PM2.5-10 fractions. The method refers to the 24-hour filter based collection of the fine, coarse and cumulative particle fractions, with aerodynamic diameter lower or equal to 2.5 μm, between 2.5 and 10 μm, lower or equal to 10 μm, respectively, and their gravimetric mass concentration determination. The provided service is applicable for sampling of the above particle fractions, both in ambient air, indoor and workplace environments.
• Passive sampling of ozone (O3) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2), with photometric determination of their atmospheric concentrations. Radius geometry passive samplers (pump free sampling) are used, based on the molecular diffusion of the pollutants from areas with high concentration to areas with lower concentration. The determination of gases concentration is achieved by spectrophotometry at 430 nm and 537 nm, respectively, for O3 and NO2. The service covers application in studies for personal exposure, gases concentration monitoring in indoor and ambient air.
